Join us for a shira filled Friday night service featuring music performed by Cantor Ilana with the finest of our young B’nai Israel singers! Shabbat Shira is when we read the Torah portion detailing the Israelites’ crossing of the Red Sea to freedom from Egyptian enslavement. Miriam leads the Children of Israel, when they have reached the other side of the sea, in what has come to be called “The Song of the Sea,” – a beautiful, triumphal poem in which we find the famous words “Mi Chamocha ba’elim, Adonai? Mi Kamocha, ne’edar ba’fele?” Following the service, we will enjoy a southwestern Shabbat dinner. The evening’s menu includes a fish taco bar with salsa, guacamole, beans, salads, as well as traditional Shabbat trimmings like challah and grape juice.

Please note: There is no charge to attend the Friday evening services.

Reservations are no longer being taken online. Please contact Allison to see if spaces remain.
