Lunch and Learn with Rabbi Jonathan Schnitzer
Begins Monday, October 8 and continues the first Monday of each month
12:30-1:30 pm
After some coffee and “nosh,” we spend an hour together closely exploring the text of Torah. We proceed verse by verse—extracting not only the more obvious meaning of the words and ideas but also how they interface with contemporary issues and our own personal concerns. We began with Genesis and we are now in Deuteronomy, the last book of the Torah. We have 13 chapters left before we reach the end of the Torah text. But, as the “regulars” will attest, there will be at least a few digressions and discussions before we get there. Please be assured that we are not a “closed club;” on the contrary, newcomers are warmly welcomed.

The Adult B’nai Mitzvah journey will take about one year to complete. Interested in participating? Not sure if you are a candidate for this program? Contact Rabbi Mitchell Berkowitz with any questions or concerns (301-816-5575).
