Zikaron BaSalon: Yom HaShoah Teen Program with Esther Bergman

Thursday, April 8, 2021 26 Nisan 5781

7:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Zikaron BaSalon, or “a memory in the living room,” has become an annual Yom HaShoah program. Join our shlicha, Netta Asner-Minster, as we hear the testimony of Holocaust survivors and their family members in our virtual “living room” on Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Esther Bergman was born in 1935 in Antwerp, Belgium.   When the Germans entered Belgium in 1940, her family fled to the South of France which at that time was still a free zone.  In the summer of 1942, she and her older brother Manny were hid, and there they stayed until they were liberated in 1944. The family reunited and later moved to the United States. Esther now lives near her daughter in Boston.

This session with Esther Bergman is specifically geared toward teens.  There is a different session for adults.
