Elijah is a central figure in the Book of Kings, but the mythology and legends surrounding his life extend way beyond those of any other biblical prophet. We will start with the biblical texts describing Elijah’s life’s work, and then explore the developing sources that bring him to our Passover seder, brit milah ceremonies, and even Camden Yards.

Presented by the Haberman Institute for Jewish Studies.
