Staying Grounded in Unstable Times with Dr. Abby Adler Mandel

We will discuss practical tools rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help us stay steady and connected during times of uncertainty. We will look at how our thoughts, emotions, and actions shape our resilience. Participants will learn simple grounding exercises, ways to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, and approaches to noticing and accepting experiences that cannot be changed in the moment.

ABBY ADLER MANDEL, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in the application of Therapy Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) for mood and anxiety disorders and suicidal ideation. She is currently an Assistant Professor in Psychology at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Dr. Mandel has conducted clinical research on suicide prevention and served as a trainer for community therapists implementing CBT. Also, she has authored more than 20 peer-review journal articles and book chapters.
