Yom Hashoah/Zikaron Basalon with Ben Willcher
Monday, April 25, 2022 • 24 Nisan 5782
6:30 PM - 7:30 PMZoomJoin B’nai Israel member Ben Willcher for testimony about his family’s experience during the Holocaust as we remember the six million on Israel’s Holocaust Memorial Day–Yom Hashoah.
Ben will share the story of his maternal grandparents Szymon and Chaja Nagrodzki, Polish Jews who were the only members of each of their families to survive the Holocaust. After meeting and marrying in a displaced persons camp in Germany and having their first child, they made their way to a new life in America. Their story is an extraordinary tale of survival, and an ordinary tale of a family building their version of the American dream.
This program is intended for families with children in Grades 5 and older. This program will be offered on Zoom only.
