Why is foreign assistance important for America? How does U.S. foreign assistance help countries on their journeys to self-reliance? Come to understand some of the critical and sensitive issues around our foreign policy through the lens of the U.S. Agency for International Development.
BONNIE GLICK was nominated by President Donald Trump to serve as the Deputy Administrator and Chief Operating Officer of the United States Agency for International Development. She was confirmed by the Senate in January 2019. Prior to serving at USAID, she was the Deputy Secretary of the Maryland Department of Aging under Governor Larry Hogan. She also has spent time in her career as an IBM executive and as a Foreign Service Officer in the Department of State. She is a member of B’nai Israel along with her husband, Paul Foldi, and her sons, Matthew and Jonathan, who graduated from the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School.
