The B’nai Israel Men’s Club and Sisterhood are pleased to present Mr. Alan Ronkin, AJC’s Regional Director, on Sunday Morning, March 24. This program is part of series of programs that the B’nai Israel Men’s Club and Sisterhood are sponsoring on the general topic of Israel. Breakfast will begin at 9:45 AM with Mr. Ronkin’s presentation beginning at 10:15 AM.

Mr. Ronkin is an accomplished advocate and career Jewish professional who has been involved in Jewish community relations for over 25 years. In that time, he has worked in Jewish communal organizations in Los Angeles, Cleveland, Seattle, and Boston. As an advocate, Alan focuses on relationship building and policy development to support a society that reflects the best of Jewish values including support for Israel, equity and appreciation of difference. In his long career he has built relationships with numerous community leaders including elected officials and clergy, led successful campaigns to defeat anti-Israel ballot initiatives, and advocated on behalf of domestic urban concerns. He is a native of Bridgeport, CT, earned a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Southern California and a Masters in Jewish Communal Service and a Doctorate (honoris causa) in Jewish Non-Profit Management from Hebrew Union College.

AJC is the leading global Jewish advocacy organization, with unparalleled access to government officials, diplomats, and other world leaders. Through these relationships and its international presence, AJC impacts opinion and policy on the issues that matter most: combating rising anti-Semitism and extremism, defending Israel’s place in the world, and safeguarding the rights and freedoms of all people.

Please register for this event by sending an email to Wayne Berman by Thursday, March 21.
