7:15 PM Shabbat Dinner (Reservations are required.)
8:30 PM Learning Session: Clothing Makes the Man

DR. AMY KALMANOFSKY became the dean of Albert A. List College of Jewish Studies, the undergraduate school of the Jewish Theological Seminary, in 2018. Previously, she was associate vice chancellor and associate professor of Bible. In her writing and teaching, she combines contemporary ideas and critical methods with traditional text study. Deeply committed to teaching since joining the faculty in 2005, Dr. Kalmanofsky helps her students understand and appreciate the Bible’s complicated beauty and meaning so that they can become careful and creative interpreters of its text. Dr. Kalmanofsky is the author of multiple books, as well as numerous articles examining the biblical representation of women and the roles women play in the Bible.

This program is made possible through the generosity of the Dollye and I. Wolford Berman Educational Initiative Grant.
