Repair the world—the Jewish call for social justice can be the glue connecting Israelis and Diaspora Jews. The core value of chesed is shared by Israelis and Jews around the world. This is the reason why the Israeli government launched an international initiative with the goal of fund ing Jewish organizations to increase their impact.

Elkana has been active in informal education and social entrepreneurship for 15 years. An educator at heart, he began his career as a tour guide. Elkana is a Hebrew University graduate and a licensed social worker. He received an MA in public diplomacy and political science from Bar Ilan University. Elkana currently resides in Rockville with his wife and two daughters, and serves as the Director of Shalom Corps.
