Family, Youth and Teen High Holiday Opportunities
We look forward to welcoming 5783 with you and your families! Our Family, Youth and Teen Opportunities at B’nai Israel are unique, dynamic and inspirational. We are excited to bring back our full menu of options for your family this year.

TOTS SERVICE
No Charge
This special experience is designed for children 5 years of age or younger, accompanied by an adult. The program, which is led by Cantor Josh Perlman and Early Childhood Director Rachel Siegel, includes a short service and story time. This service time accommodates families so they are able to attend the Torah Service in the Traditional Services and children can move to babysitting or Youth Services (separate registration required).
There is no charge for member and BISNS enrolled families but pre-registration is required.
- 9:15 AM on the first and second days of Rosh Hashanah
- 9:30 AM on Yom Kippur
Note: Children attending Babysitting/Youth Services following the Tots Service must be pre-registered below.
BABYSITTING (Ages 2–5)
($40 per child/$100 maximum per immediate family)
Advance registration is required. Children are divided by age for play and activities. Children must be at least two years old to be registered for Babysitting.
- 10:00 AM until the conclusion of the Traditional Services on Rosh Hashanah (First and Second Day)
- 6:30 PM until the conclusion of the Traditional Services on Yom Kippur Eve
- 10:30 AM until the conclusion of Traditional Services on Yom Kippur
YOUTH SERVICES (Grades K–7)
($40 per child/$100 maximum per immediate family)
Our innovative school-aged experience offers services and small-group programming that continues until the completion of Traditional Services on Rosh Hashanah and until 2:15 PM on Yom Kippur. Children are divided by age and supervised by qualified teens and adults. The morning includes a service, activities, snack, and time for socializing.
- 10:00 AM until the conclusion of the Traditional Services on Rosh Hashanah (First and Second Day)
- 6:30 PM until the conclusion of the Traditional Services on Yom Kippur Eve
- 10:30 AM–2:15 PM on Yom Kippur
TEEN SERVICE (Grades 8–12)
($40 per child/$100 maximum per immediate family)
Teens participate in a special experience that includes a short service with keynote presentations and discussions on diverse topics such as Jewish life on campus, mindfulness and reflection, and Judaism and pop culture.
- 10:00 AM–12:00 PM on Rosh Hashanah
- 6:30 PM until the conclusion of the Traditional Services on Yom Kippur Eve
- 10:30 AM–12:30 PM on Yom Kippur
After morning services, teens are invited to hang out in our designated lounge space.
Play & Pray Space
No Registration Required
The lower level conference room will be open throughout our Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services. Parents with infants or toddlers who do not wish to sit through the entirety of a traditional service are welcome to watch and listen to the Dweck Sanctuary service in this comfortable environment.
