Youth & Teen Scholarships

B’nai Israel is invested in the future of our youth and are proud to financially support youth travel and summer trips.

We have one unified scholarship application for all programs, trips, and camps. Click here to view the application website.

Summer Camps

We support Camp Ramah summer programs at any Camp Ramah in the country, with special opportunities for first time campers and attendees of Camp Ramah in New England. Camp Ramah is the camping arm of Conservative Judaism.  B’nai Israel only provides camp scholarships for Camp Ramah camps, with the exception of Israel travel trips (see below) at any Jewish camp.

Overnight Campers

For all Camp Ramah overnight campers, our scholarships are available for any overnight Camp Ramah in the country (you can find them here). Special scholarships apply for first-time campers, with second-year (and beyond) campers receiving a reduced scholarship. These scholarships are not need based.

Day Campers

We are ecstatic to introduce the Kravitz Jewish Day Camp Fund  for Summer 2024, supporting (for the first time) Ramah Day Camp participants. This new fund is available for all families, and preference will be given to families with need.

Camp Ramah in New England

First-time campers at CRNE are eligible for the Gerald Reed First-Time Ramah Incentive Fund , a special scholarship to attend to incentivize new campers. We are proud to offer this substantial (up to $3,500) scholarship. Up to four recipients are selected each year for this award.

Israel Trips

We are dedicated to sending our teens to Israel on organized trips through youth movements or summer camps.

B’nai Israel’s scholarships support (but are not limited to):

  •  Academic programs, such as Alexander Muss High School in Israel
  • Summer travel through youth movements, such as BBYO Passport programs, Young Judaea Gesher, and Habonim Dror Yallah!
  • Camp trips, including Capital Camps LIT (11th grade), Perlman Camp, and Camp Micah in Israel
  • The CESJDS 12th grade Israel trips

Our application has a dedicated section for Israel travel for teens. We request that when filling out this form, teens personally submit ~300 word answers to our four scholarship questions.

JDS students have a separate section for expedited processing.

Notification

Scholarship recipients will be informed of their scholarship 2–4 weeks after submitting the application. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Lily Pollack, Youth Coordinator.
