Family/Babysitting/Youth/Teen Programming for the High Holidays


Recommended for children ages 5 and under with an adult. This service is free for members, but registration is required. The nonmember family fee is $40/day or $100 for all 3 days.

The Family Service Experience has been completely retooled for 5778. Each ticket option includes a service modeled after our popular weekly Tot Shabbat; singing, story, and art breakouts; and a light snack. Our talented team includes faces familiar to B’nai Israel youth: Juliann Goldman, Arielle Katzel, Nancy Robins and Julie Steenberge.

Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur
The Family Service Experience takes place from 9:30–11:00 AM. Within that time frame, participants can choose between ticket option A or B. On the second day of Rosh Hashanah, all tickets will follow the schedule for option A.

This service experience is open to members and nonmembers.

Member Families This Service Experience is free for Members but Online Registration is required.

Nonmember Families Pay $40/day or $100 for all three service experiences.

Pre-registration is required for attendance in all our children and youth services. There is a flat fee of $40 per child, with a $100 family max for all of our age-appropriate options. There is no cost for teens who have purchased seats in one of the traditional services but registration is appreciated.

Babysitting (Ages 2–5)
Our service providers are licensed and bonded. Advance registration is required. Children are divided by age for play activities and a short prayer experience.
10:00 AM–1:15 PM on Rosh Hashanah
7:00–9:15 PM on Yom Kippur Eve
10:30 AM–2:15 PM on Yom Kippur

Youth Services (Grades K–7)
Children are divided by age and supervised by qualified teens and adults. The morning includes a service, activities, snack, and time for socializing.

10:30 AM–2:15 PM on Yom Kippur

Teen Service & Lounge (Grades 8–12)
Teens participate in an interactive and engaging service. Members of the congregation will also share interesting stories and lead our teens in timely discussions. The schedule for these presentations will be announced. When the service is not in session, teens are invited to hang out in this comfortable “lounge.”
