Family/Babysitting/Youth/Teen Programming for the High Holidays


Early Bird Room for Children in Grades K–6
Children who are registered for a youth service may be dropped off early. They will be supervised and brought to the appropriate service when it begins. Registration is necessary.

First Day of Rosh Hashanah 9:30–10:00 AM
Second Day of Rosh Hashanah 9:30–10:00 AM
Yom Kippur 10:00–10:30 AM

Play & Pray Space
The lower level conference room will be open throughout our Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services. Parents with infants or toddlers who do not wish to sit through the entirety of a traditional service are welcome to watch and listen to the Dweck Sanctuary service in this comfortable environment. No registration is necessary to use this room.


Recommended for children ages 5 and under with an adult. This service is free for members, but registration is required. The nonmember family fee is $40/day or $100 for all 3 days.

The Family Service Experience includes a service modeled after our popular weekly Tot Shabbat; singing, story, and art breakouts; and a light snack. Our talented team includes faces familiar to B’nai Israel youth: Laura Fingerhood, Juliann Goldman, Arielle Katzel, and Julie Steenberge.

Participants can choose between four ticket options: Alef, Bet, Gimmel or Daled. On the second day of Rosh Hashanah, all tickets will follow the schedule for option Alef. On Yom Kippur (Wednesday, October 9) all ticket options will start 30 minutes later.

Pre-registration is required for attendance in our babysitting, youth, and teen programming. There is a flat fee of $40 per child, with a $100 immediate family max for all of our age-appropriate options.

Children are divided by age for play, activities, and a short prayer experience. Attend the Family Service Experience and then drop off at babysitting. Our service providers are licensed and bonded. Advance registration is required.

Children are divided by age and activities are facilitated by qualified teens and adults. The morning includes a service, activities, snack, and time for socializing.

10:00 AM until the conclusion of the Traditional Services on Rosh Hashanah
6:20 PM until the conclusion of the Traditional Services on Yom Kippur Eve
10:30 AM–2:15 PM on Yom Kippur

Teens participate in a newly restructured service which includes; breakout sessions on such diverse topics as Jewish life on campus, mindfulness and reflection, and Judaism and pop culture. The program will also include a short service and keynote presentations.

10:00 AM–12:00 PM on Rosh Hashanah
6:20–9:15 PM on Yom Kippur Eve
10:30 AM–2:15 PM on Yom Kippur

When the service is not in session, teens are invited to hang out in the “lounge” until the conclusion of the Traditional Services.
