Jeanette is the artist who designed the beautiful Torah covers that adorn our Sifrei Torah in Dweck Sanctuary, and she is a family friend of Rebecca Ravski and Rabbi Berkowitz. Join Jeanette on Zoom to learn about ideas for enhancing the beauty and interactivity of your seder. Ideas for all age groups and all skill levels will range from art projects to games and special foods.
JEANETTE KUVIN-OREN is a former resident of Rockville. She is a graduate of Princeton and Yale Universities, and completed a Masters degree in public health and most of her PhD in epidemiology before devoting herself full time to commissioned art and graphic design. Since 1984, Jeanette has created installation pieces for more than 400 houses of worship, schools, community centers and camps around the world. Jeanette designed B’nai Israel’s needlepoint Torah covers (stitched by congregants), two mosaics and stained glass at the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School, and the 2022 United States Postal Service Hanukkah stamp.
