Hebrew High
B’nai Israel’s Hebrew High is a dynamic program designed to meet the interests and busy schedules of today’s teens. Students choose from engaging four-to-six week courses on meaningful Jewish topics, current events, and hands-on experiences like art, cooking, and social action. Teens can also join our Mitzvah Corps to actively pursue justice in our local community. Every opportunity earns participation credits that can be redeemed for scholarship dollars. Bring your friends and take the next step in your Jewish journey—on a path you help create.
FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING
Our Hebrew High is designed around short courses, typically 5 weeks, on various topics meaningful to you. You choose between Tuesday night in-person, Wednesday virtual, Sunday afternoon in-person courses and/or Mitzvah Corps. These short courses allow you, our students to commit and deeply engage in a powerful learning as well as earn credits throughout the year.
Earn Scholarship Dollars
Each course you take earns you credit. Being a part of the Mitzvah Corps earns credit. For every 15 credits earned, trade them in for a $100 scholarship (in addition to all other potential scholarships) for a Jewish leadership program or Israel program, up to an additional $300 per year. If you are enrolled in Jewish Day School, you automatically receive 15 credits per semester with the opportunity to earn more. Over the course of four years of high school, you could earn up to $1,200 towards travel scholarships to Israel.
meal plan
All participants in Hebrew High are welcome to join our meal plan options. Dinner on Tuesday evenings is available for $25 per five-week course. Sunday lunch options also available upon registration.
