Rabbi Penina Alexander
Rabbi Penina Alexander, Assistant Principal
Ordained from the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies in 2009, Rabbi Penina has a Master’s Degree in Education from American Jewish University. She loves working with learners of all ages in various educational settings. In addition to teaching adults at Ramah Darom’s Passover retreat, she most recently taught a 12th grade senior sermon class at Milken Community High School and a 7th grade project-based learning class at Sinai Temple in Los Angeles, CA. Rabbi Penina served as Rabbi in Residence at Camp Ramah in California for 3 years. As a Global Justice Fellow with the American Jewish World Service, Rabbi Penina advocated for the rights of women and girls worldwide. She served as Associate Director of Education at her former LA spiritual home, IKAR. Rabbi Penina is the proud mother of three wonderful boys, Ariel, Eliav and Amos.
