Gabbai Debby Cohen Sisterhood Education Fund
The Gabbai Debby Cohen Sisterhood Education Fund was established in 2009 by her family in memory of Debby Cohen z”l. Debby was a cherished Sisterhood member, and, in 2003, became B’nai Israel’s first woman gabbai. Debby was dedicated to B’nai Israel Sisterhood and loved all things related to Jewish education. Contributions to the Gabbai Debby Cohen Sisterhood Education Fund provide our b’nai mitzvah children with Torah parashah study guides, kiddush cups, and candlesticks. The Fund also provides our third graders with their first siddur, celebrated at the Hagigat HaSefer ceremony at Friday night services.
