Gold Kippah Honor Society & Shabbuddies
Shabbat, Mar 7th 9:45a to 10:15aB’nai Israel’s Gold Kippah Honor Society recognizes students for their proficiency in various prayers. New this year: Pre-b’nai mitzvah students will be “buddied” up with a post-b’nai mitzvah student. Older students will mentor younger students to build stronger tefillah skills while fostering friendships across grades, role modeling, and building an integrated community. Family Minyan (Grades K-6)
Shabbat, Mar 7th 10:15a to 11:30aFamily Minyan includes spirited prayer, an engaging Torah reading, and lively conversation about the weekly Torah portion. There is no better way to prepare your child for their bar or bat mitzvah and build community connections than regular Shabbat attendance. This service is led by clergy and staff, including Rabbi Mitchell Berkowitz and Rabbi Cheryl Stone.

From exile and redemption to mystical powers and moral dilemmas, many of the biggest fantasy and sci-fi stories are deeply rooted in Jewish ideas. Join us as we journey through galaxies and magical realms to uncover the Jewish sparks hidden within them all.
Hebrew High - Jewish Artists Who Changed the Canvas with Artist Dana Zatman
Wednesday, Mar 11th 6:30p to 8:00pFrom bold colors to bold ideas, Jewish artists have shaped the art world in powerful ways—and now it’s your turn to follow in their footsteps! In this hands-on, six-session workshop, students will dive into the lives and styles of influential Jewish visual artists like Yaacov Agam, Amedeo Modigliani, Helen Frankenthaler, and Saul Steinberg. Each project will be inspired by the artist’s unique vision—from 3D watercolor illusions to abstract note cards and expressive portraits. Along the way, students will sharpen their creative skills and discover how identity, history, and imagination come together on the canvas.
